Unity NDIS – Founding Partnership Required

Unity's NDIS rollout requires a founding commercial partnership to be in place first – a government body or enterprise organisation that enables us to build the infrastructure needed to onboard individual participants at scale.

Once that partnership is established, Unity will be available for NDIS participants under Assistive Technology – Communication. The line items below reflect the intended NDIS structure. Individual orders cannot be processed until the founding partnership is confirmed. Register your interest to be notified at launch.

Unity is a purpose-built communication device for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, delivering AUSLAN sign language recognition in real time. It qualifies as assistive technology under the NDIS communication category through:

  • · Real-time AUSLAN recognition enabling direct communication with hearing service staff
  • · T-Loop induction broadcast directly to telecoil-equipped hearing aids
  • · Auracast Bluetooth LE audio to modern hearing devices and cochlear implant processors
  • · On-device AI with no data leaving the hardware – privacy and safety assured

Unity Subscription

Commercial Partnership Model – Not Individual NDIS

Enterprise / Government funded

N/A

Not an individual line item

Unlike Harmony, Unity's subscription and ongoing costs operate under a commercial partnership model. The founding government or enterprise partner funds the infrastructure, enabling Unity to be deployed at service counters. Individual NDIS participants access Unity through those partner service locations – rather than purchasing a subscription directly.

This means there is no individual NDIS subscription line item for Unity's software plan. Individual participants may be eligible for the hardware cost (Line Item 1 above) once the founding partnership is in place and NDIS registration is complete.

If your organisation – government body, local council, healthcare provider, or enterprise – is interested in becoming Unity's founding commercial partner, please contact us directly. This is the step that makes Unity available for everyone.

No commitment. We'll contact you when Unity's NDIS registration is complete.
